Rustic French Style Dwelling With Arched Shutters

Having come across these traditional arched top style shutters a few times on my European travels, I wanted to find a subject that might do them justice and I fell upon, rather than found this pretty little example. With its well weathered façade and almost Mediterranean feel, the flaking walls give a picturesque timeworn quality as the building slumbers in the warm weather. The old wooden door is definitely built to endure, with heavy hand forged iron bolts driven right through. The dried looking rust stains on the old metal just adding to its wonderful imperfections!
